Mr. K Profile

Yutaka Katayama, currently 94 years old, is car journalist. Previously, he
was the American Nissan president. He arrived in America in March 1960. Since 1969, he sold 1.4 million Datsun Z cars. In America, Z car owners know him as "Mr. K" and he is called the "Father of the Z car." In 1998, Mr. Katayama was inducted into the Automobile Hall of Fame and honored as the Z Car father and a pioneer exporter of Japanese cars to America. He is apraised and revered figure. He has been the JAF Motor Sports president, the first SCCJ president, a Nissan car advisor, and a Nissan Motor Sports International member.
